When?

The whitehouse has to battle untruths somehow. I doubt it will shut down Faux news which would do us all a favor...lol

It is the worst news station in accuracy than any other station. It is also the worst with political spin than any others.

Nothing is worse than the MSNBC trifecta of Mathews, Olbermann, and Maddow...

To claim they are more accurate.. or don't spin issues is quite funny...

I did not claim any of those were more accurate. I don't watch them.

Faux news is the worst when it comes to accuracy without spin. It doesn't take much to verify it most of the time.

Clearly your opinion.

Whew, thank goodness for that. Just stick with your Communist Network News and your liberal websites and you'll be ok. I'll stick with mine and know that not only on Fox, but other means of research I have the choice to choose the one that I feel finally gives some of us Americans another point of view other than what the liberal media has been shoving down our throats for so many years.

So, both of you use various sites to research things so you're not only relying on news shows for info, right? Why are yours fine and hers aren't? Do you know where she's looking for info? While you don't actually say hers aren't fine, it's the way you talk down to those you think are liberals that shows you think what they're doing is completely wrong.

I used to be a news junkie. My dish would move to pick up multiple satellites and multiple obscure feeds. My contacts at work gave me direct information about certain events around the world. My contacts in government gave me additional sources. My travels around the world allowed me to see many situations firsthand... or contact people who had.

At the time CNN was really the only game in town. I gave them the benefit of the doubt but noticed that, not only was their reporting slanted, it was always slanted the same way, left. Some of the reporting was either grossly misreported, or just wrong.

Fox News came along and I started watching it in addition to CNN. Fox was more accurate in reporting and while the commentary had a generally favorable slant to the right, they would offer opposing views to almost everything. The majority of the viewers could tell the same thing I could tell. The product Fox was offering was of a higher quality. Fox has more viewers because they do a better job. CNN lost market share because they presented their product as unbiased when anyone could tell that it was, and offered no opposing view.

If you really want to know how bad certain reporting is, you should see what doesn't get reported. CNN "cherry picks" to give a consistent slanted view of the world. A good recent example was the aircraft crash over the Hudson River. CNN falsely reported the air regulations in effect (I know them by heart) then reported NEW regulations regarding pilots speaking to each other by radio and notifying each other of their positions (there is nothing new about this). Virtually every aspect of the crash was reported incorrectly and all the "changes" they claimed were needed were already in effect. This is typical of how they hype news and make up conflicts to make the story sound better.

Yes, it's nothing new to those of us who look at the opposing view of what is being reported in all mainstream media. With CNN and other smaller news entities being the only ones years ago, we had to endure what they shoveled out. Once Fox news came out it was very refreshing to hear people that had my same views, CNN sure as heck didn't. To say that that Fox is not fair and balanced, well some have not apparently watched Fox for very long, if so they failed to see what we see.

Just this morning, I had to listen to this woman pushing socialized healthcare once again. Every day Fox has the opposing view and of course they're going to have their own opinion. That is their constitutional right and obama may be able to express his disdain for Fox news, but he better keep it to that and nothing else. Once government starts silencing an opposing voice, it leads to socialism.

Ah, so because she didn't like Fox, you don't approve of anything she may watch/read. I get it.

That sounds about right but no one is trying to silence any other news outlets besides fox.

I find it funny that fox is on the chopping block.

All you hear is Orielly, Hannity, and Beck are the ones people complain about.

What about

John Scott

Bret Biaer

Greta Vansustren (Wiconsinite  )

Neil Cavuto

Shepard Smith

They are on fox and I don't see them "spinning" things like is being accused.

Yes, it's a pick and choose I guess. Now I really like listening to Neil Cavuto, very smart! Morton Kondracke and Fred Barnes on the beltway boys are good as well. Opposing views not only on that show but others. Fox News watch on Saturdays with John Scott, a panel of different views, I listen to them all. I don't not watch because it has an opposing view that I believe is wrong.

Hey showin' favorites huh TJ? laugh
