Topic: Does A Broken Heart Ever Heal? | |
---|---|
Good question I find it depends on who I was with at the time, how long i'd been with them, but how attached I was to them as well.. I can honestly say, a broken heart is like a burn scar. It takes while to heal, but there's always something there for the person who caused the heartbreak. And that I believe is when the 'scar' is tolerable, you've accepted that everything has finished and you're ready to start again. However long this takes is down to the individual. {Just as a slight side note - has anyone thought it a little odd that the mirror is asking questions??? lol - snow white has to find the answer in return for prince charming?? } |

yes, healing happens, if you allow it....
or one can just stay bitter and jaded and pissed of the rest of their life. |

The heart will heal... It just won't forget |

Healing goes through "stages" at least it did for me...
1st stage was shock and dismay.. then came hurt, followed by anger and resentment until finally I was left with the "indifference" stage....That is for self preservation I guess. |

yes and yes...
"seasons slip quietly passed the lonely arms of a lover in wait. night to day day to night the healing hands of time see no cause for hurry." the amount of time is different for everyone but, in the end your answer is still yes... |

For me, I put my right foot in front of me, and folowed it with my left. Then I repeated the process. I had no idea where I was going,I just didn't want to stop. I kept my faith. After that, Eileen found me, and I knew it was time to love again.

Does a broken heart ever really "heal"?Or does the pain just gradually lessen to a level you can tolerate? Nope..it doesn't heal..at least mine didn't..my hurt just usually gives up and transforms into anger..mostly at myself for not gaurding myself from being hurt to begin with. |

a broken heart does heal, it just takes time, tissue, great friends, sometimes booze, a fire pit to burn all their stupid lil gifts that you once thought were cute, chocolate, and a vacation to vegas.... |

It takes time to mend a broken heart it's a slow process but it will heal in time.

Does a broken heart ever really "heal"?Or does the pain just gradually lessen to a level you can tolerate? It heals...with the help of a Smith and Wesson MP40. |

I believe you answered your first question with the second.
Pain lessening is a process of healing. |
|
|
|
It will heal but how long it takes depends on the individual, if you let it hurt you, feel resentment, anger , hate, look to blame and won't let go it will take a very long time to heal.
You have to be true and look at yourself in the mirror and accept it, move on and not make one heartbreak close your heart to all the beauty in the world and it will heal faster. |

God I hope so.

Bind your heart up with barbed wire & chewing gum...I promise it works...

Does a broken heart ever really "heal"?Or does the pain just gradually lessen to a level you can tolerate? It heals, but only if the heartbreak_ee puts themselves in a mindset to truly forget about the heartbreaker. (if the heartbreakee is still calling, looking at pictures of, talking about, fantasizing about or trying to get back with the heartbreaker, then the healing will never happen and will just become a tolerable situation.) |
