this is a free site so there is no upgrading. not exactly sure what you are referring to about upgrades

Upgrade? It's all free here...no upgrade needed...set your settings and go for it....get into the forums and allow people to know you and enjoy the fun....simple as that...good luck

The upgrade sign is a new premium feature option for Mingle2. Mingle2 will continue to be a FREE site and you will NOT lose any features you currently have today. It's only for users who wants extra attention on the site. For example, if you want your profile listed first in search, who's online, etc. when other people perform searches. Or to be featured more often on the homepage for potential daters. Also, upon upgrading, we will give you the ability to see who actually "likes" you on Mutual Match. Something that wasn't possible before.

Joining is completely optional and you are NOT obligated! You will still keep all the existing features that you always had ex: message anyone anytime you want.

Sorry the upgrade doesn't seem worth the money. Been on other paid sites and found it to be a waste of time and money.

I see the need to generate revenue to cover the cost of the site which doesn't bug me much even though some of the sites are kind of offensive, because I emensly enjoy Mingle, but I often find myself wondering why the pop up advertisements don't show something represented by the demographics of the people here. Afterall we do do other things besides date. Even offering things that would benifit being more dateable would make more sense.

We do not serve any pop-up ads, PacificStar48. We realize how much they are despised (we hate them, too), and we don't want to go that route.
