there's a lot of people on this site who i admire and i don't think listing one particular person is a popularity contest but rather a way of shouting my appreciation of them to the world and publicly acknowledging their importance to my life.
robin (quietman_2009, quiet, dumbass, however you want to refer to him). he has my appreciation and admiration for all of these things, and probably more too: - he chose to enlist in the navy and protect the rights and freedom of all americans (which i think spills over to canadians as well) - while battling kidney failure has never once said 'poor me' or whined 'why me?' and remains strong, positive, and upbeat (except for those times he's being a cranky old man) - has not only believed me, but believed IN me, for the entire time we've been together - actually likes my kids - is not only a physically attractive man, but is probably the most witty i've ever known and, without a doubt, the most intelligent and is constantly entertaining me with bits and pieces of history (which - believe me - is HARD to do!) - beneath the rugged, hard-to-know exterior, is a gentleman who was raised - and acts out on - old-fashioned values, concepts and morals and is one heck of a good role model. - his family actually likes me - he looks great in a pair of levis (even though he chooses to mostly wear wranglers ) - he is my opposite in that he is the one who anchors everything - a calm, relaxed soul who takes every day as it comes and encourages me to slow down and enjoy the moment. (and i encourage him to get off his arse and do stuff ) - he's a guy who has always made me feel valued, important and loved and has never waivered in his affection and interest and continues to hold my heart and my mind from so many miles away. - he gives me competition watching jeopardy (truth be known, he mostly kicks my arse come double jeopardy but i hold my own first round) it's not like no one knows anyway who i most admire but even if i weren't involved with him romantically and emotionally, he would still have my upmost respect and would be held in the highest esteem. |

you could at least try. dumbass. ohhhhhh okayyyyyyy then in no particular order that amazing giggle laugh that no matter how crabby or cranky I am breaks my mood and makes me laugh she is the prettiest woman I've ever loved. I dunno if thats just because I love her more than any one else I ever have but thats the ways I see it she manages a job and three kids and gets em all to soccer/dance/swimming/ and all the activities that kids do and sometimes she gets frazzled from it. But still she finds time to sit and play with em and have beauty contests and games with them However down or depressed or discouraged I am from the health issues, she has ALWAYS been my one source of comfort and support and is always there every minute I spend with her is a treasure to be impressed in my memory as a solid physical thing that I can pull out and admire and cherish she is one of the few people I have met in my life that I consider to be an intellectual peer. and when we disagree on something, somehow she always seems to be right I wouldnt trade one minute of the time I get to spend with her for a lifetime with anyone else |

Oh good. Are we back in high school? Did I miss study hall? Do I get to sit on the comfy couch this time or will it be that hard backed chair designed to make us squirm and feel uncomfortable? |
