yourself huh?  how is my offering my view that there is no reality other than what we perceive within each of us individually not topical to the thread title, "reality v perception"? even the thread author agreed with the post that you claim is "off topic". he would know what is off his topic would he not.
you have devoted more off topic posts to me than i can count. i'll reply to every one and others have now thrown their two cents on this childishness you pusue. you seem to relish in the off topic. this site has moderation should you have a complaint. why not let those moderators decide the appropriateness of posts without you're continuing you're "i wanna be a forum motinitor too" tirade so that the other members here aren't subjected to even more off topic posts? i await your next straying. |

Other than perceiving our own existence, when we consider that we think and feel, and there was nothing to feel or think, then there would be no thought and feeling. Therefore a thinking or feeling being can be certain that it he she exists.
What I get from that is that you believe there is no objective means of determining reality. Yes, there is, but only one. The fact that I exist, in the sense that I am a capacity to feel and think. That everything on which such a judgment would have to be based is subjective (i.e. perception). If so, I agree with you completely. 
I hope somebody is &^%*^ing writing all this down. You just did!

You cannot do both. :smilerfukface: I am not trying to be rude. (I can do that very easily, so why would I want to be trying? Unless I want to become trying, or trying to want to become trying. But not rude.) The idea is that Forminder's Postulum says, that there are smilies in the system that are hidden; their spelling equivalents are not displayed in the key or guide to the extant ones. My new quest, which replaces the Holy Grail, is to try to hit upon the spelling in the syntax of the smilies on one that is so rude that the site will be closed down when it gets displayed (finally) on the screen, after many decades of hard and dedicated research work. I will close each post of mine from now on with a strangely spelled smiley with proper syntax. My aim is to win the Nobel prize for Peace with this.
