Today's rappers are always SO angry. They are shooting at each other,
but they have what everyman wants: Money, Fame and Women. What makes
them so angry?

I do know for a fact that hip hop started from gang violence in new
york. It began in the early 1970's when the gangs dominated the city in
Brooklyn and the Bronx.

Back then it was an outlet of expression with positive lyrics. Now it's
just for flash and fame. Artists want that "hard gangsta" look because
it is a trend now. They want to be hard and cool to flash their money
and crap.

When gangsta rap started with NWA in the late 80's it was a political
uproar against police brutality, it had purpose. But once the money came
in..that's when it started to be about the money and not about message

first gangsta rap group. I used to listen to the Geto Boyz, but I feel
convicted when I listen to hardcore music anymore.
