I have heard people plant garlic around their rose bushes to keep the aphids off their rose bushes. Other than that, I am no help, sorry.

A diluted milk spray..... encourage the predatory type bugs....spiders, praying mantises, etc. Another spray I use is a neem oil spray diluted....it's totally non toxic, but is so yukky to aphids they leave things alone.....it has nothing that will harm the good bugs in the garden, and will save the plant from infestation. Also, fertilise the plants well, and check the soil ph...
