Do things happen for a reason?
Or is it just coincidence?
(I know this ties into fate vs. free will, but I was looking more at the prospective of weather negative events will occur to BAD people or if its left in the hands of the divine. Also vice versa.)

If left in the hand of the divine, is it like the way people request the opportunity fir events or development to occur. Is justice left in the hand or the people around us, dose it occur naturally.

There are no accidents, everything for a reason.

It's not coincidence, it's synchronicity or better yet, synchrodestiny.

First off, welcome to the Sci&Phi forum. drinker

Of course that particular deceased equine has been bludgeoned into nothing more than a fading pink stain by now. But swinging the club is always good exercise.

So let me start the swinging with this: In my opinion, nothing can happen without a reason.

But that’s not to say that I believe in a montheistic “devine” either, because I don’t.

And I think justice is strictly a human invention.

So then (if fate) how will it occur naturally(natural consequence) or as results of others(moral justice death panels and eclectic chairs…lol, jk)?

Life has a way of working itself out...much of it is karma, in my opinion.

I'd have to agree with SkyHook, who said:
nothing can happen without a reason
... EXCEPT OF ACCIDENTS of course!!!

Even then -- if you dig deep enough -- you might establish the chain of events leading to an Accident... (so, in a sense, yes, there's always a reason) -- even when, "out of the blue", you win a miilion 'dollars (which is a sort of a happy accident)! The reason? Well, its simple, my dear Watson: you bought a ticket!
(although that same reason, which Sky so condescendingly is pointing out, doesn't explain Why other tens of thousands of people, who also bought tickets, haven't won anything at all!!!)

The most puzzling thing is this can happen -- with equal probability -- to either a GOOD or a BAD person! (seems a bit unfair -- in case of a latter). So, you might as well take your pick:
its either "karma", or God, who -- according to silly -- knows the reason... (very appropriate screen-name, BTW, I don't even have to resort to calling her names...) biggrin

Everything happens according to the law of cause and effect. (The law of attraction.) Nothing can come into your life that you did not manifest, or invite on some level, conscious or unconscious.

So yes, everything has a cause. If 'cause' is what you mean by 'a reason' then yes.
