Does it, is there such a thing as a truth? Infatuation comes from where? Could it be lust, physical attraction? Could it come from a sense of spirituality that you might feel. I believe that it could be many times the "beginning of that phenomena we call "love" I don't believe that there is only one "soul mate for each of us ,on the contrary there are many,many people out there that could be classified as "Soul Mates" It is my observation that nature has a selective process in place which can "jump start" love including infatuation as the first step to a relationship don' t you think. I would not completely discount infatuation leads to nowhere. You need to look at the practical aspects of the relationship economically, common interest, someone that compliments you in your persona and vice versa etc.... It,s a great feeling is it not! I say all the time i believe there are many soulmates meant for most of us, BUT that doesnt mean it was infactuation, or just lust.. i believe you can truly love many people, just as.. because you love a family member does not mean you dont love the another.

Its a mature belief in my opinion that this is possible.. its just that not all soul mates are forever.. some are here for a season, some for a reason.

I'm glad you found love, but I'm still cynical. I'm on string of pretty bad luck the last decade or so.
