Distance - in and of itself - isn't the determining factor usually. If you want it to work...and she does...it will. You can't let five hours stand in the way of something special...you'll both know sooner than later.
Meanwhile, you'll maybe see a little but of he country. Good luck. BTW, I've done it...so real life experience.

Distance can definitely be the determining factor, whether each person wants it to work or not. But, if both people put a lot of effort into it, it could work.

Last year I spent $4000 to go and see a lady I met on another site in England I had known her for 6 months and we did all the proper things to get to know each other Skype was almost on 24/7 my kids got to know hers etc

Back in the UK within 24 hours it was obvious it was not gonna work
So the short answer in my experience is Long distance relationships are no go
