to find out the name of a short movie I saw probably 30 years ago? I don't even know where to look. I know about IMDB, but by not knowing any specific details, .....

The short was filmed in b&w, and starts off with a guy having a noose put around his neck on a bridge. In the instant that he dies, he has a dream that the rope breaks, and that he's able to swim his way to safety, even with them shooting at him. At the end, they flash back to him standing with the noose around his neck, and he gets killed.

I think the movie only lasted about 10 minutes or so, but I guess that it had an effect on me- due to the fact that I'm asking..

Lol, I admit it. I googled it. I just picked out the key words that I was pretty sure would be in a synopsis of it based on your description. That gave me the title, and I went from there.
