***Came across someone I never thought I would see again, this came out of the sight.***
------------------------------------------------------- I saw you again tonight, Over at the table across the yard, I noticed you glanced my way, Our eye's once again did meet. We almost acknowledged each others presence, Almost like we once did with happiness, But I fear the hate was far too much, For you, for me it was the ten ton hammer of shame. Long lost, years ago this faded. Long lost, I fear I'll never find it. I still caught the glow in your eye, As you sat with your girlfriends chatting, You seemed intent on my direction, I could apologize again, but it went nowhere the first time. You almost looked happy, But like me you were missing something, I could tell in your prolong stare, Or maybe I was just wishing. Long lost, years ago this faded. great writing!!!! Reading it back to myself...it is actually not all that good writing-wise, that is the problem with writing you can't envelope too many differing emotions into it or it won't come out right. This was more of a simple 'what was on my mind' type of write. |
