noway

All I know is that if someone came into an agency I was working in and said that they wanted to file taxes for prostitution the conversation would end at that!

I can say, unfortunately, there aren't always enough qualified people willing to work for free at agencies. It could be that at least one of them is a volunteer employee. Now that doesn't excuse what happened. From what I understand ACORN is a large social service providered, should they be penalized yes, but all funding pull, I don't know. It would depend on an audit.

And sorry for those that are tired of hearing it, I don't watch the news so I just started reading about it online.

They are starting to investigate ACORN. I think it will go farther up the ladder. You can't tell me supervisors and higher ups don't know whats going on. Unless they aren't doing their jobs.

Well, from my experience of working in social service agencies, it happens. And if found then yes penalties should to applied and funding pulled.

Now, my spin off question is.... should grantees (who gave the money) be responsible to audit finacial and services?

When the FBI finishes their investigation, I hope they can apply the Rico Act to as many as possible. And, if they find folks who lobbied for money or those who voted moneies for ACORN were aware of the Illegal activities, hang them also.
