Topic: Am I delusional? | |

I still remember things that happened when I was very young (2)...I think we hid them away in our brain and sometimes they just pop out..

I have a theory that the world(enviroment) around me is alive and trying to communicate information to me. Your feeling is correct. How do you think the Tarot Cards work?? Also, there are 'signs' that speak to us all the time. It is all 'mind stuff' and it speaks to our minds. |

Except for all the innuendo, it grabs me just fine, since it’s pretty much what I said from the start. The significance is obviously different between him and his mother. And the significance is obviously different between your belief about the watermelon twins and others beliefs about the watermelon twins.
Innuendo? Seriously? I have no idea what you're talking about.
Uh, not really. If that is what you meant, then your ability to get that point across is so...jejune that I pretty much gleaned the opposite view from your post. But okay. Whatever you say, pops! Your point seemed to be, "yeah, well, 'significance' is always 'in the mind,'" but you failed quite completely at defining what "in the mind" or what "significance" meant. So, thought I'd respond with a bit of clarity. Whatever! |

Your point seemed to be, "yeah, well, 'significance' is always 'in the mind,'"… Since that’s exactly what I said, it would be pretty safe to assume it was my point.
…but you failed quite completely at defining what "in the mind" or what "significance" meant. How very interesting…
You introduced those terms into the conversation. But I’m at fault for not defining them? |

If you have ever read any of Carl Jung, you would understand your dreams are information from your unconscious. Your dreams are symbols which is the way the unconcscious speaks to the conscious self. Your dream has important information for you because you have remembered it so clearly and for such a long time.
Some examples of that symbolism are: tall building which could represent the ego. The people being taller than you could represent your feelings of inferiority. The poorness of their lifestyle could represent an emptiness within your soul; yearning for a connection to a higher power. Laundry being hung out publicly could mean your insecurities are exposed to the world. Those are just possible meanings of your dream symbols. Only you can assign the value to those symbols. It sounds to me that you are moving into a period of your life that will take you into self development and discovery. Dreams have meanings. Persephone |

If you have ever read any of Carl Jung, you would understand your dreams are information from your unconscious. I'm not trying to be contrary here, but I do want to point out that there are other theories about the origins and significance of dreams. Although it is true that the Jungian theory is currently probably the most widely accepted throughout our industrialized western culture.
