Topic: Final Divorce Decree | |
---|---|
Divorces are always tough. However, with that slip of paper the legal battle is over so that drain on your energy and life ends too. There will be a healing process that starts immediately but it will take a while. I don't know the status of kids, visitation, etc. so the amount of contact can delay the healing process to SOME degree. But you are your own person now so take the steps to ski down the other side of that big hump! Get some counseling. Millions of people have gone through what you have, so speed the learning curve by finding out what works and what doesn't.
You have friends here. |

Aw hell Jess, just move to the states so we can marry. I'll find one of them that allows that sort of thing.

divorces are ungodly traumatic.
even if you've been seperated a long time. once the final cutting of the strings comes with the final paperwork there'll be a grieving period it just gets a little bit better every day. so slow you dont notice there'll always be a little scar from it but it just bothers you less day by day |

Got divorced in '97, still think about her to this day. You may never get completely over it. Just think it's important that you move on at some point. You'll know when that is.
