Just a quick question, How many people read a profile before they email or IM someone? I received an email last night from a man that was "looking for a little action" and it states in my profile that if they are just looking for sex not to email me.

I think some don't read as they email and ask things that are in my profile...

Guilty. I do not usually go that far. I if to lazy to read profile and think they are cute will just wink at them and see if they respond.

I always read the profile before IM or email,but,I know exactly what you mean. I've been on the receiving end of some of those emails and IMs too and it's a pain in the butt! What's even worse is when you POLITELY reply that's not what you are looking for the guy gets pissy about it! Come on gentlemen,show some class! Or at least learn to look before you leap!

uhh...where it comes to emails that concern asking about sex ,I'm guessing that the answer is directly propotionate to the sum total of people that assume everyone else is as base and depraved as they are... |

Lol I have had ladies do the same,(not just a guy prob. Not to say you were saying that!) and not read it or ask something that is stated in my profile. Then again, it doesnt bother me if they do, I look at it as a convo starter.

I should add this - I respond to the nudges from people that I know from the forums too.

I think a nudge is fine. But again the email. I think they should read the profile first. And thanks for the nudge lol

If I get an email from someone that I've never corresponded with I always look at their profile before I respond. I tend not to respond to nudges unless they're from friends. The way I see it, if they're too lazy to email an just nudge then they truly aren't interested an I'm not gonna waste my time respondin to the nudge.

This is one of my pet peeves -- it's all too clear that, with many of the e-mails I get from total strangers, they haven't bothered to look at my profile at all -- had they taken the time to do so, they certainly never would have written in the first place. I generally suggest they go back and read it, after which I never hear from those people again.... |
