I'm settled in solitude. And I'm set in my ways. And I'm happy and not codependent. So I don't think about it.

Having been married twice, been there done that.
I have tax problems that will take years to correct, won't involve another in my mess. Still have deep feelings for deceased wife. Companionship becomes more important than a piece of paper, after 50. Opinion of an old sage. |

I would love to have someone in my life again but I'm not codependent on anyone so I keep busy and do what I want.. Not waiting for him to find me, he will have to catch me...

I spent 10 years being single
Raising my kids and becoming strong and independent were my only goals I accomplished both And being single is not a bad thing!!

Have you ever given it any thought about how long you are going to be single?? Or maybe for some,....have you ever thought that maybe I just was not intended to be with someone?? It will be geat to see what kind of input and thoughts on this subject you might have..  I've been in a lot of relationships, and they've all been slightly worse than nightmarish. I've more or less accepted the idea that there isn't going to be anyone compatible with me, and I can move on and deal with other, less pointless and less destructive, issues in my life. |

I'm single but dating. I still have hope to find my Mr. Right For Me. I'm not codependent at all, but I do miss the little things about having that special someone in my life.

I'm enjoying my singleton life right now.I am at a point where I have become somewhat selfish e.g. not wanting to share my space, and the thought of returning to domesticity fills me with dread! However, I have a young man in my lfe who takes me out for dinner, we go to concerts, shop togethher and generally have a good chuckle.............. He's my gorgeous, courteous son
 And no, I'm not getting in the way, he has a partner with whom I go out with on "girly" nights out.However, I am not going to say I will never want to or will never find a partner.]

Not one that likes to be lonely, but I would much rather be single and all alone than being married and all alone, it's a very desolate feeling.
