Change your attitude, and lower your expectations.

Expect nothing, and you wont be disapointed.

I expect nothing but hope for something more in life. I need a change a major change. I career change, a location change, anything. Just a change a shift in life itself

Well, the only thing I would like to add is... drinking to excess, and acting like a skanky whore is not a hobby.. its been done..

I should know. laugh

If music and Tv aren't doing it for you...you just have to expand your horizons and find something else to entertain yourself.

I live in a place where the closest things to me are walmart, a high school, the chicken farm, the gas station, fast food places, and the church. What am i supposed to do with that. I work at walmart, cant afford to eat anywhere other than home, too old for high school, and church is not my thing.

Who said anything about going anywhere??

Read a book. WRITE a book. Just FIND something to keep yourself occupied.

That's what I did...I wrote a book and it made me happier because I felt part of me was complete...It was my companion that knew all my thoughts

Ah reading and writing, there is only so much you can do of that. I write everyday. Gets me no where. I end up crunching numbers or staring at a page blankly. Food has become my friend again. I hate it. I eat because im bored or because i am depressed. Ugh. These four walls are my prison. I must escape and free myself from this hell. It being back in my moms house that does this to me.

I live with my mom and her alcoholic girlfriend so i refuse to drink alcohol. And i am not big on random hook ups so skanky wont do for me. Any careers in science or math that doesnt require a college degree? That is where my life needs to take me. I need to return to school.

Strap on a pair of running shoes, and get your butt out the door...

Lift your head up....chin to the wind, and expand your lungs.

Breathe in optimism...blow out the stale fumes of self pity.

A spoonful of cement twice daily and harden up.

You can move 95 times an hour.....but guess what?

You can't outrun yourself.

If you want change...then change...change your mind.

We women are famous for it.

Life owes you nothing, that you are not prepared to earn.

I hate being bored with life. What do bored people do? I stay bored. I hate not having anything to stimulate my mind. Tv is mindless and unimaginative. Music has become dull and lifeless. My friends are there yet i am lonely. My home life is tedious and degrading. My finances are crap so nothing is able to be fixed or changed and work is hohum and repeatative. I hope i get out of this slump soon. I dont think i can take much more.

Sounds like you are depressed. The good news is it is realitively easy to treat with a multi system approach.

If you have felt this way more than two weeks I would first make and appointment to see my doctor for a good check up and start looking at my dailey habits. Are you eating and sleeping right? Sometimes what you are describeing is poor self care. Some reading and planning can help you refocus on your own success.

Things can seem flat because you are chroniclly tired or poorly nourished. Cleaning up your sleep environment and turning off the computer/tv and hour before you need to be asleep will make a big improvement. Adding breakfast (no caffine) and a hot lunch and a fruit snack will make night time overeating less of a temptation. Need to munch nibble a cup of your favorite cereal dry.

Sometimes a simple allergy being treated will help you feel better.
Buy a pillow and mattress cover and make your bed every day. Keep pets off your sleeping area. And wash your comb and brush as often as you bath otherwise you are just reinfecting your hair with pollen ect.. Brushing your hair 100 strokes at night is and easy way to unwind and have a bedtime routine that aids sleep.

You are at the right age to have a good endocrine check up. Looking at family history can help do some positive health planning. Definitely look hard at all medications and anything you take over the counter. The number of young people who are chroniclly poinsoning themselves with "energy" drinks is epidemic.

If your homelife is toxic you may have to have a family summit and see if you can enlist some support. Or start looking for a new living situation. If someone else has a health issue that is rubbing off on your quality of life maybe nudgeing them toward care can greatly improve your life.

Finaces are pretty easy to fix although it takes some disciplene. IMHO Reading/watching Susan Orman (PBS) should be required for all. If you are sabotageing your own financial health you can change that radically just by having a plan and a system. I am a big fan of debit payments includeing to savings because I am the worlds biggest procrastinator. Having a Christmas and vacation fund helps me a lot. It is a lot easier to say no to yourself if you know somewhere along the line you have said yes.

If things are boreing you can think about what you find exciteing and interesting and start making a plan to accomplish some of them. It is obvious you are a smart woman and pretty do anything you set your mind too. College should be high on your list. While I tend to think some classes are boreing colleges have a lot of perks includeing over seas study. Can't remember if you have kids but I think you work retail which always dies down in January why not turn down time into a trip to somewhere you have always wanted to go. Since Australia has opposite seasons it would be my choice but there are tons of other places. WalMart is expanding all over the world. I would be putting in for a traveling team.

Hope some of these ideas spur your imagination. Have faith in you.
