Can anyone tell me what I'm getting myself into. I live in Tennessee now but am planning to move 09/26/09. My lease is up on my apartment here so just decided I would move to Florida to be closer to my mom who lives in Venice.

Do you have a job lined up? i lived in florida for almost 20years and got downsized and couldn't find anything for months- i had to move out of state to find work

just really research all of your options- and think about the stuff you aren't used to- heat, humidity, hurricanes, really really big bugs- no change in seasons.

but it is beautiful down there and if you want to be closer to your mom- that is a good reason to move but just be prepared.

ai think you and your daughter will LOVE IT there. Playing with her on the beach making some life time memories to share always...And you mother will be in heaven having both of you close....NOW,,,,you do need to have something lined up as for work,sure,,you can do your job anywhere,,,but,,look around and check for the higher paying ones and see if there around?
And you could always paint on the beach if thats your pass time,,they would sell,wink,,

i live inbetween daytona and jacksonville. i work offshore thank god its hard to find a decent paying job in fl. with the econamy down things are bad for north east fl. good luck finding something fl is a tough state. if you have a degree or a needed skill you will do ok. theres jobs here but its just a tough place to make a new start good luck art
