we do have livly political discussion forum. it is populated with the usual mix of left wing exremists and righ wing extremists and a nice smattering of reasomable moderates. some slightly liberal moderates and some slightly conservstive moderstes.

it would be nice to have some fresh persective and present the arab vision of world events, it always helps to look at an issue with fresh eyes

if you care to join in those dicussions you would be most welcome and respected as an equal and we might just learn a few things.you'll figure who are the extremists pretty quick

wow that is the longest post I've made in moths

some quietman

hshshs I'm STILL proofreading and fixing typos

the point is that it's the differences that make us stronger as a human race. dont try to assimilate cultures but inorporate them in to a new whole with a Arab complexion and a spanish complexion and a english complexion and a chinese complexion, take the best of all cultures and creat an uber culture in which we all belong

that is my vision and because of that I am very happy so to see alaarab join and put his cultural mark on the community as a whole

so I hope you remain with us alaarab and show us a diffrent perspectve through your eyes

and if not, then I hope you meet the perfect woman and fall in love happily ever after

I'm thinking history of the US, and corrollary civilizations not usually covered in world history

history of India and the rize of the Rajahs and sidhartha and the wars with Hannibal and the expulsion of him from India

history of Cambodia and Angor Wat

the Anazasi of the south west and their de-evolution to form the puebloes/Csinos of New Mexico, Don Juan Onate the foot cutter offer. and the navajo and their "long walk" in conjunction with the "tail of tears" with heavy emphasis on the Constitutional crises created by president Jacson

Mayans, Aztecs and Incas, machu pichu

the Middle East during the European darkages and technoloicsl sdvscements tht fed the European reneisance

Egypt and the idea tha the egyptian mummys show traces of cocaine and tobacco only available in Precolumbian South America. implyin trade AND an amazing similaritiy in the architecture of their pyramids

of course it does. I'm a GREAT teacher

history is exciting. its not all dates and names to rememberize.

it stuff that happened, just like stuff is happening right now and is changing the world and we are living through it changing the entire future of the way we live, thats history.

the important thing is the effects of events on peoples lives. who suffered and why, who got rich and why

and how does something like the Battle of Concord lead a straight line of cause and effect straight to the Civil War and then straight to George Bush and Obama. its all a linked chain that has to be understood to comprehend what is going on today beyond the hysterical propaganda mongers whose only aim is to manipulate the ignorant and gullible who have no knoweledge of where we are and how we got here

sorry

I get carried away

Welcome to Mingle. Should be interesting for you to be a part of our groupe here. Don't be shy about jumping in all the forums and expressing your views.

Don't be shy about asking questions if you don't understand what someone is saying to you. Keep in mind we have people from all over the world and not just the USA. Lot of people will joke and flirt with you. You are right in the age frame to get a lot of attention.

Don't be surprised if most don't care that you are Arab. I am sure to some degree it defines you more where you live than it would here in the USA because there are a lot of Arabs mainstreamed in our country while still hanging onto there cultural and family identity.

If you fill out your profile a little more it will be easier for people to communicate with you.
