I assume you went to E-2 when you graduated boot

in another six months you'll be lance corporals

he should just suck it up until he is and then kick their azzes
yeah, but who knows how much more he can take, they constantly come in the room and make him do stupid things, hes hardly gotten any sleep and he couldnt go home cause he had to write the entire rank structure 150 times,he had plane tickets and everything.i feel pretty sorry for him.
I would try 2 help your mate out as much as you can because one day he might be watching your back on the frontlinedrinker

I had to look it up. I'm not familiar with Marines

lance corporals are E-3's?

hell they are barely out of boot camp

he can either suck it up or run

it's his choice

Yeah, I'm trying to put myself in his place. I never remember taking any **** from anyone like that, except for maybe my first sergeant. And that was rare, because my **** was always squared away.

Maybe they're just messing with him to see how he's going to react.

I think Quietman is right. He could just tell them to **** themselves and see what happens. Or just keep his **** so tight for the next few weeks that they have no reason to screw with him. Or go UA and get reassigned maybe. I don't know how that stuff works, but I don't think they shoot you for desertion when you are state-side.

even though they are e-3`s they are still a rank above us so we have to do what they say,not to mention these guys are our squad leaders so if we do get deployed, we will be with them(or around them) for quite some while

I would have to agree. Stick up for your mate if you have to. Shows courage and honour. Surely the Marines would appreciate that.....smokin

so would you stay in the marine corp. if you were in his situation? or what would you even do in his situation? would you stick it out? or go UA in order for it to stop?

Can you get out of the marine corporation? I thought it was not an option at any point before your time's up, expecially when you're a designated whipping boy for the general's grandson in the next bunk.

What would I do if I were 'im? I would not go into the army. Period. The army is for weaklings who like to shoot other human beings dead to camouflage their emotional hurt over the fact their mother kept them in diapers unitl the age of 10.
what i meant by getting out i meant by just leaving going UA(unauthorized absence) basically running away from them and never coming back...unless you get caught.

they just investigate a little, going to your house and ask questions and such, and then they wait, swipe your credit card, maybe use a computer, get in trouble with the law, maybe even make a phone call, and they are on your ***

Neither do I. That comment is lower than a snake's belly in a tire rut.

Also here is an idea for Wolf19, see if you can get assigned to the motor pool as a mechanic or driver. That will get you away from most of the riff raff. Also and granted I would say this right now, do not look at this as a carer move, but you could try to get trained for aircraft mechanics. Pilots love and cherish the guys that keep them flying. I know the marines have an air corps and usually it is Helos but the marines do have fixed wing AC. then there are intelligence services like air traffic control, air to ground flight coordinators, radar operators, etc. Stuff like that gets you away from regular ground pounding and the frat boys will not screw with you. Frat boys = cannon fodder.

Unfortunately what you are going through is part of the indoctrination for dealing with command structure. Going UA will land you in Leavenworth. Once you get past basic and get into training for something other than ground pounding you will find the experience a lot more satisfying.

Now word of warning, you had better be a masochist if you join the mountaineers. You will eat worst things than earth worms and you will be cold the whole time. It is an elite fighting force of the Marines and you have to be a little crazy to join. The training is punishment incarnate. One thing you might consider is what you plan on doing AFTER your tour of service and see if there is something like it in the marines and use that to get free training and work experience you can apply in the civilian world. FORGET AIR CRAFT MECHANICS! It is way different between the civilian and military the way things are handles. Job security is also lousy in that field. I know first hand. I used to be certified in Airframe and Power Plant. the airlines are almost impossible to get into and General Aviation is a bad joke. Now air traffic controllers is a gravy and well paying job if you can handle that kind of work!

One, He is not a room mate.. He is a brother!!
Again, Man up, help your brother out and accept what you must.
Show them that you are your brothers keeper. ALWAYS!!!!!
That you have your brothers back in the hard times.
show courage and That you are going to stand up with your brother no matter what!!
This is a test! are you going to pass or fail?

he needs to be walking silence. like the dead. he needs to just do what they say, suck it up and the moment he gets the chance to, request transfer.

if they push him too far there is such a thing as harrassment even in the military.

it sucks but he's being made an example of.

Such role models, I have the deepest respect for soldiers but none for the governing ones that abuse their position.

In a perfect world he could bring them to justice but the way the military works you are brainwash to listen and shut your mouth so nobody helps the ones that are abused because you are trained to never no matter what disagree with your superior.

Again such role models. Sad that a few bad apples ruin the whole dish.
