They already get their healthcare paid for by the government, why would they want to opt into another plan that will do the same thing?

It is ludicrous the levels folks will go to, usually the lobbyist and undercover health insurance folks to get citizens to believe garbage.

Wake up people, if it doesn't make sense, which this doesn't is usually is a lie.

what don't you get about choice?

They voted it down because the amendment leaves out choice of keeping what your private plan or choosing a public plan even for the congress folks. Republicans thought that if it was turned down it would appear to those in the general public that if the congress didn't want to be required to be on the plan, that means there is something wrong with it. Good try but only those focused on one point of view will fall for that trick.

It's about choice, not force.
