WootWoot.
A new forum for the Artsy-Crafty people!!!!!!!! Yay Us. I am a secret crafty person. I like polymer clay! I started out wanting to make beads, for a Shekere, which is an African percussion instrument with a beaded and macrame net on the outside of a hollowed out gourd. Well 400 beads is a lot of beads to make by made. I wound up using rubber stamps on the clay to make broaches and holiday themed pins. I also like to make bowls out of gourds too. And the ol' hippie style macrame bracelets and necklaces too. |

I am so artistic myself, but have no clue (and enough brain cells) to post my work up on the threads
Well I will enjoy this alot anyhow. I get to watch other talented folks post their stuff. This is a great new thread. Great work Mingle2 Owners, moderators, or administrators or whoever was in charge. |

In the fourth grade(!) I learned how to make Indian type baskets with reed & raffia. I see the raffia here & there but not the reed. Does anyone know where I could get reed other than online? (Reed is the thing/stuff that the raffia wraps around.) Thanks.
