I hardly ever listen to the radio in my truck anymore and everytime I actually do turn it on, I feel like I am so out of the loop of what's "hot" these days. Maybe because I've only been listening to music on my iPod for the past 3 years. I still purchase music from stores or search artists/bands when my musical buddies suggest me to, but I seem to stay loyal to artists/bands I've been listening to on my iPod.

Perhaps it's due to my unwillingness to allow the media to tell me what's "hot" and what's "not", I guess. I used to go to Coachella before it got crowded with bands that were too well known. I used to rely on Coachella every year as my musical source to discover new music. Now we got all these well-established acts that are being force fed to us.

Hope I am not the only who feels this way.whoa

I never listen to the radio...

I listen to my own CD's and

I'm stuck in a 70's time warp when it comes to music.

The newest music I have is Michael Franti..

and even that is a couple years old now..I like what he's doing.

In my opinion the very best sound came from the 60'/70's.

I am most definitely out of touch.

And I'm ok with that!

I find myself still listening to 70's & 80's, mostly.

I tend to rely on my friends whom are in bands, luckily I raid their iTunes to get music, lately.

I dunno, artists/bands whom I still support that continue to make music today are Interpol, MUSE, Jack Johnson and Paul Simon. I'm a sucker for Billy Idol, true story.frustrated

In that list only Paul Simon and Billy Idol ring bell to me....

Rhymin Simon...one of the greatest poets.

I will say I've been stocking up on some Robert Johnson, The Isley Bros. and Al Green. 60's & 70's was the best era for "music" in my opinion.

agreed...was the best era for a lot of things. I loved growing up then( well not the 60's) that is what is considered the good ole days, in my opinion.
