Topic: man puts parents for sale on craigslist | |

The ad reads as follows: "Perfectly good parents- $155. Got lots of use out of these guys over the past 50 years but it's time to move on. Excellent overall condition. Still plenty of life left in them...."
The ad goes on, but you get the picture. It's true, one Connecticut man actually put his sweet parents up for sale on Craigslist. "I was trying to think of something unique and of great value," said Michael Amatrudo of Madison. Amatrudo said he often visited the Craigslist website and was always fascinated by the endless everyday, interesting and sometimes strange items for sale. So, this past Saturday, he decided to create his own social experiment of sorts. "I was laughing really hard at first, but then I thought, oh gosh, I don't want your parents to feel bad," said Amatrudo's wife, Karen. "It was kind of a study on the human condition, informally . It really was a fluke that I did and then it took on a crazy life of its own," added Michael. Michael began receiving emails from all over the country, most realizing the humor in what he did and playing along. But, how did his parents take it? "I wasn't shocked. All my kids have had a sense of humor. We loved it!" said Arlene Amatrudo. |

Wow, I think people will find this either cruel or amusing.
