Has anyone else come to the conclusion that common sense seems to be in short supply these days? Even some (I won't say which ones) of the posted questions can be answered by using common sense. Anyone with me here?

yes, the people without it used to be kept at a minimum, but now we have health an saftey organisations that rap them in bubble rap and keep them from learning the lesson the hard way. its just another sign of our race slowly but surely sliding down into the pit that is morbid stupidity

the biggest problem is our morality, it means we feel a responsability to save all humans even if the laws of nature suggest that for the survival of the fitest, the less inteligent should be sacraficed.

i choose to sit on the fence in these topics, as i see the need for us not to fight natures way, but i also have a moral obligation to protect those less blessed in the brains department.

however, i do think that our own morality and choice to follow it against nature, will be our undoing in the end


intelligence is not mesured by education

if i put an educated person on a desert island the chances are they would die without the ability to problem solve and teach themselves.
but an inteligent person probably would survive


in short, no, i cant spell, but i can build a house or fix an engine or many other things that i have taught my self. you cant teach inteligence

Well, I'll take that as a compliment. All these things that come out of my head and onto the comp screen come from a lot of years of living. Stay tuned to more in the future. I don't, however, want you to blow a fuse in that pretty head of yours lol.

lol, very good theory and can be correct but there is no way to tell what another human will do or respond to your compassion..Its just impossible to tell completely..But your optimism is commending

It's just who I have become. Don't forget we all see the world through our own eyes, not through someone else's. What can seem very obvious to us can be pretty blurry when someone is feeling all the emotions of the moment. Emotion destroys logic. Ever make the wrong decision when your mind has been in a "feeling" state?
