Right here where I live they are playing up the hype and fear in order to convince parents to let these companies and the Government test the H1N1 swine flu vaccines on children. This is a reason I'm leary bout the boys gettin the shot, how well has it been tested?  H*ll, we all know can't really trust the FDA to properly test new drugs. 
That's what I'm waiting for - the testing results. I feel that they've rushed with the making of this one. |

Just seen on the nightly news, there's 190 cases of flu in Hinds county MS, 145 of them are in Clinton alone, one confirmed H1N1. That's only a 45 minutes from here. I won't be goin shoppin in Clinton anytime soon.

That was an interesting read until I reached this part, "It’s the same story with breast cancer screenings (almost completely useless)," and "prostate cancer screenings (now proven to be far more harmful than helpful." I am a firm believer that breast cancer screenings are good and necessary. It saves lives. I feel the same way about prostate cancer screening. |

I guess some people are so anti government they would rather a bunch of people die from a epidemic than to allow the government to try to prevent it

It still bothers me with my child, Quiet. I feel like...damned if I do and damned if I don't. I do hope that the testing results do well. |

Do a little search on the swine flu "epidemic" of 1976.... Jimmy Carter got a law passed to vaccinate "all" Americans... It was stopped after a couple of month...because of adverse side effects.....like death!!! the best defense is a strong immune system......if you are on immuno-suppressants....you might consider it...otherwise no... |

That must feel creepy to have that going on so close to you. Let's me know to go to the county line Wal-Mart in Ridgeland instead of the one in Clinton

If vitamin D helps build up the immune system then I got no worries, my boys drink milk all the darn time an they live in the sunshine. It's o dark 30 before I can get em to come in the house.

We're smarter about things now. it was only 40 years ago. there were no cell phones then. the fastet computer was a 286. no such thing as CD's, the cutting edge in music was 8-track tapes. we have advanced a wee bit since then but hey its only peoples lives. no biggie right? the best defense is a strong immune system? there is some famous last words. there is NO immune system that can fight off a virus it has never encountered |

???? really??? Better check that one......I don't believe you have a keen understanding of how t-cells and phagocytes work.... This virus is one part swine one part avian and one part human influenza...its been around for centuries......otherwise everyone who is exposed dies...... Aids does not kill all...a double copy of the delta 32 gene allowed many to survive the bubonic plague .....and perhaps aids..... |

supposedly from what the nurses tell me the flu shot uses dead flu germs and can't give you the flu they use to use live flu germs years ago and people would get a mild case from the shot and talk of that has stuck around years after they quit doing it I've read that and heard that and I expect that it's true. But I've gotten a flu shot 3 times and each time ended up with mild flu symptoms. Could be psychosomatic I suppose. And there are rare side effects from the killed virus vaccine. Think I would take this shot if offered, but usually I pass. The nasal vaccine, as mentioned, is a live virus. I think the oral one is too. Wonder why those are even available. Perhaps an allergy to what they use to make the vaccine? |

Private insurance companies, which do the best liability studies, have totally abandoned coverage for damage to life and property due to: vaccination, acts of God, nuclear explosion/accident. God, nuclear explosions and vaccines???? I can not control God, or Nuclear explosions....but taking vaccines....I can... I choose not to get vaccinated My children will not be vaccinated it is a personal choice for everyone and should(and up to this point) be a "choice" |
