Every time I get IM'ed and I hit Yes to accept my web page just freezes up...any suggestions?

Disable the feature and use e-mail?

I would try downloading and updating java and flash to the latest versions. (java.com, flash.com) Then download firefox.com and use that browser if you aren't already.
