This is good :) reminds me when My dad and brother went to Vietnam. Livd it with my Bernie.... Did I tell ya that I struck up a conversation with a guy at the fair? Well actually my son started it when he commented on his Nam Tat. We got to talking and he was at the same place Bernie was only a year earlier...wanted to know if the Agent Orange killed him...I said don't get me started...and he shared that he was on full disability from lots of ailments including cancer...yep I said...and asked if he knew that they were in the most heavely sprayed areas in Nam....I shared that I also had a son that I know has disabilities as a result...we hugged and parted ways after lots of soul searching...he called me his sister cuz Bernie was his brother....God I love those Vets...thy sure have a brotherhood! Mary that is a very touching story and I'm sure it was great to spend time with someone who brought you closer to Bernie I don't go much, but at VFW's they treat me like a queen to honor their fallen brother, Bernie. They don't even have to know him...just a brother in arms and I was his widow. Last summer I had fallen on REAL hard times and I got my morgage, ulities and grocies paid for the month...all because I was his widow. Goed bunch of guys! They take care of their family and they're all family

They are the Fu**ing reason he's dead....do ya think they really care about him, the millions of others and their families?

Funny thing was that he would of dropped everything and fought for his country again in a heartbeat too!
He gave them 20 years in the Army and was a week away from retirement...I got screwed out of all the benifits cuz he died a week too soon....
|
