oh boo...I know there are many others with dangerous jobs...and that is part of the job...but people try to minimize the risks when possible. I only mentioned cops because that was the subject.

I work in the post repo dept before and went on rides with the repo men and even worked with the agents. I learned quickly that repo isn't for me because I had a hard time not mouthing off to them lol...I know my limits

When a Police Officer makes a "routine traffic stop", they should have already ran the license plate number through their Law Enforcement computer database to see who the car belonged to and if their were any criminal records, outstanding warrants, stolen vehicle, etc...

If he had the data, and it was clean, he should not have treated a citizen in that manner.

but the driver may not own the car....so that doesn't always work. they run the driver's license of the driver. they run the plates to see if the car is stolen or something...but that doesn't always mean the driver is the owner of the car

Ya, my limit was losing my legs or my life over a damn car.. LOL I told the guy to find another thrill seeker. Many cops are thrill seekers too, and they admit it. Fine by me as long as thrills don't include tasering Moms, bribing women for sexual favors, forcing sex on women etc etc..

I don't generally suggest women be too cooperative in certain situations. Be polite but don't be naive. I had one really bad experience with a perv cop and I will never forget it, one that like others doesn't get reported because of fear and I know that fear also. I've also known some really great cops, who would never have thought to use such a weapon on a woman for disobeying an order a couple of times if she wasn't dangerous. I know I keep pushing that but still want to see the whole tape, though I doubt we will if it was dropped.

I always want to know the whole story too. Very tired now so headed off to sleep... night Rose.

That's why I said "IF" the Officer had the data.... I think we are all guessing at what the facts were.

The license plate check should also produce criminal records and warrant information, etc...More than just who owns the car.

I agree...it's all a guessing game in here without he facts.

back on the plates thing laugh let's say I borrowed my sister's car and she had warrants....that doesn't mean I do. or reverse it...I could have warrants that wouldn't show from pulling the plates. make sense?? I'm on meds so I might be babbling laugh

Two people over-reacted...both are in the wrong.

The children are the innocent victims in this.....the rest is so much conjecture and supposition.

I Guess the bottom line on this incident is, no matter what all the facts are, she's got one HELLUVA Lawsuit that she is going to WIN.

A Jury will rule in her favor and I am sure the City knows that. Legal Counsel to the City is probably already made her an offer to try to keep it out of court.
