You haven't been here long, you need to join in the forums and mingle so
people get to know you, that is how you make friends. If you sit back
in the shadows they don't see you. If you leave now, you are not giving
yourself a chance, stay awhile and give the place a chance, lots of good

Looks to me like you've only been here a little over a month? And
haven't made a lot of posts, either!

I would maintain that your assessment about "not fitting in" may be a
little premature. Because, with only 47 posts under your belt, there
really is no way to KNOW whether you're fitting in or not.

See, we use the forums here as our primary method of getting to know
each other. Sure, everybody has a profile, and maybe that will have a
lot of good information in it, but it tends to be kind of static and
some people rarely, if ever, change them or update them.

But the forums -- well, those are more spontaneous, more changeable,
more varied, more all over the place. Not exactly "real time" but a lot
moreso than the profile. You get to learn more about a person when
they've made a few dozen (or few hundred, or few thousand) posts. You
get a sense of who that person is, what matter to him/her, likes and
dislikes and reactions and beliefs and priorities and hopes and fears
and....

And I'm not saying you need to make 10,000 posts before we can get to
know you, but I just don't think 47 is nearly enough to be able to
determine that you don't fit in here.

Just think about it -- there are a lot of great people here. A lot of
them might become your friends, if only they had a chance to get to know
you. I don't know exactly what you're looking for here, but I do know
that if you give up now, you may be missing out on meeting some people
who would really enhance your life....!!
