Men might see it as an ego stroke for women to ask but most sooner or later pick the woman they want to date and pass over the woman who ask as being desperate or "too independent".

no really men are still masculine and muscular its just that women are becoming more overly powered and b1tchy and act like they wear the pants..lol...Example number 1...hehe...If you ever could see how you acted you would realize it is overenpowered and ungratefull...I am just a man, I need nothing and that includes you

You speak in generalities....I do not need you either

Yes, I wont be asking anyone out, unless its just super casual.

Pretty much a friends situation.

is there such a thing as being "too independent" anyway? I've asked guys the same question and I got the two opposite answers. act of desperation and they're fine with it.

IMHO if you are so "independent" that you do not make a person feel wanted, not necessarily needed, which I do not think is bad at least a percentage of the time. Being dependent "by choice" is not being weak it is a choice sometimes just to rest or accepting comfort.

That's interesting because I've had a few women who's asked me out and honestly, it felt great drinker.... Though I do like the challenge of being initiated.
