so for the last few years usually before it rains, the back of my right knee will give my this tingly feeling and it keeps my up all night and some times i only get 3 or 4 hours of sleep usually i have to keep my knee curled up under me and lay flat on my back all night

ive tried aspirin and working out but its the same thing and some time i feel like a zombie!could this be something more serious then just waiting for it to rain!

i have arthritis in my hips and damage to my L-5 in my back. whenever the pressure changes, as in before a good rain, i get the same thing. the swelling pinches the nerve making my leg go numb or painful all the way down to my feet. when it's really bad, i lose leg control.

i take between 800 and 1600 milligrams of ibuprofen, and it knocks out the swelling (yes, on doctor's orders).

Have you seen a chiropractor??? Maybe your body is out of alignment????

Try Capsicum cream you can buy it at Walgreens. I buy mine in Mexico for my right knee that hurts off and on.

I do believe atmospheric pressure is INCREASED during a rain. I'm no expert, but could this be a factor in your discomfort?
Many people say they know when it's going to rain because an old injury will begin to ache.
Could this phenomena also apply to your situation?

I get that feeling every time I have a massage. bigsmile

I looked this up, here is what I found......

The skin sensation of partial numbness or "pins and needles" or a type of "burning", "tingling" or "creeping" sensation of the skin, is known as a "paresthesia". Symptoms may start as a tingling (paresthesia) and change to a numbness, or there may be a combination of decreased sensation (numbness) but with heightened sensations at certain times or with stimulation. Any type of tingling, burning, or numbness is usually a symptom related to a sensory nerve being damaged, diseased, or injured. Causes depend on the exact location of the paresthesia sensations, but typically include a physical nerve injury type condition (e.g. a nerve entrapment or some type of pressure being applied to a nerve directly or to the spinal attachment of that nerve), or a disease condition affecting the nerves (e.g. neuropathy, diabetic neuropathy, multiple sclerosis, diabetes, and others). Having these sensory symptoms in multiple locations, or the recurrence of similar symptoms in different locations is a hallmark symptom of multiple sclerosis, so your doctor will likely ask about the past history of similar symptoms to assess the likelihood of multiple sclerosis as a diagnosis (see symptoms of multiple sclerosis). Any of these tingling or numbness symptoms are more than just annoying; they can indicate a serious medical condition and require prompt medical diagnosis by a professional.

actually atmospheric pressure decreases

rising air leave less pressure on the ground (rising air cools and loses its water making rain)

and the air bubbles trapped in the arthritic joints expand because of that and hurt

U might wanna ask ur dr not only about possible arthritis but also Cardia Malaysia Patela, not sure I've got that spelled right but close on the phonics  I've got a combination of the 2 in both knees an I can predict the rain real real good

I'm sorry, I was kinda off topic

I don't really know except maybe for ibuprofen to bring down the inflammation in the joint till you can see the doctor

I get tingles all over my legs, running up and down, it feels like thousands of little bugs crawling

but that's the restless leg doin that to me
