What does "rapture" mean? What is the following scripture talking
about?

1 Thessalonians 4:16-17

Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain will be caught
up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so
we shall always be with the Lord.

IF YOU WILL ASK GOD AND NOT MAN WHAT GOD IS TALKING ABOUT YOU WILL KNOW

I know what the scripture is talking about: anyone who died, but was
saved before dying. I think what you mean is that there is no
pre-tribulation rapture, which I would agree with.

You don't believe in the Rapture, okay, please define "rapture" and then
tell me what do you think 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 is talking about?

From what has been revealed to me, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 is saying
that those who have already died, but were save and those who are saved
and still living will be caught up together into the clouds to meet
Jesus. Yes, while we are dead, we are with God in spirit. But this is
describing that our spirits will re-enter our bodys, we will be
resurrected and ascend into God's presence.

Now please offer your commentary on this scripture, so that I can
understand what your interpretation is.

OK, IF YOU BELIEVE THAT CHRIST ROWS FROM THE DEAD. THE ONE'S THAT DIED
IN HIM IS NOT IN A HOLE IN THE GROUND THEY ARE WITH GOD OUR FATHER, AND
THEY ARE THE ONE'S THAT ARE COMING WITH CHRIST, AND HE GORING TO RULE
KING OR KING, LET ME BAG IT UP FOR YOU. LUKE CHAPTER 16. VERSE 19-31.

Seriously. I learned this from my pastor:

If two ppl (and I'm not saying this is you spidercmb, just an example if
you will ) speak what their opinions are and both cannot reach
an agreement, both should let it be.


To make fools of yourself infront of others only makes you
look...stupid. Childish. Immature. I am the type to respect others
opinions and even state mine own but if you don't like what I have to
say or what someone else has to say, don't be rude and disrespectful.
Just let it be. Pray for that individual that the truth may be revealed

I strongly disagree, I feel that scripture is clear that our bodies will
be resurrected. Revelation 1:5 calls Jesus "firstborn of the dead". 1
Thessalonians 4:13 states that the dead are asleep and we know that
Jesus said in John 11:11 "Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep", once
again speaking of a dead man as sleeping. We know that Jesus had a body
after he was resurrected, because his disciples were able to touch him;
spirits are invisible and intangible. So 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 is
clearly stating that those who died in Christ will rise from the dead.
We will be somewhere between spirit and flesh, because we will not age
or hunger or die, but we will most definately be in resurrected bodies.
