Ok, here's the premise of this thread. What's the smallest child support payment u've ever recieved? I'd really not like to see this thread turn into a bi@tch session but more of a entertainin, u gotta be kiddin me kinda thread? Alright, all u single parents, what's the smallest payment u've ever recieved? Let's see who's gonna win the prize for this one. shades

$0

You too??? I swear, all the deadbeat dads out there. I really do give kudos to the dads who pay their support and follow through with their visitations and are actual dads to their kids, even after the divorce. My daughter paid the price for her dad being "absentee" in more ways than one. I wish there were more "good" dads out there. flowerforyou

i received a check once for a penny.

apparently, he paid his dues to keep out of jail...and overpaid by one little cent. they sent the balance to me, heh.

my child support is hit and miss. i'll get it for a few months...he'll quit paying...they'll arrest him or suspend his license...he'll pay for a while...quit the job and get a new one...

it never ends. but at least i have my kids.

I never paid a penny of child support

my best friend finally paid off his child support (on time without missing a payment)

and as soon as it was paid off his 18 year old daughter decided she wanted to live with him

Just a little info:
The percentage of "deadbeat" moms is actually higher than that of dads who won't pay, even though mothers are more consistently awarded custody of children by the courts.

Census figures show only 57 percent of moms required to pay child support -- 385,000 women out of a total of 674,000 -- give up some or all of the money they owe. That leaves some 289,000 "deadbeat" mothers out there, a fact that has barely been reported in the media.

That compares with 68 percent of dads who pay up, according to the figures.
#'s are from the federal census bureau.
When MA came up with their first deadbeat dad list a female RN was on top of the list owing over $400K. It went from a deadbeat dad list to deadbeat parent list upon being published.

Doesn't surprise me a bit. People need to stop using money as a way to get revenge on their ex's and remember their kids are involved and pay the support as it helps make their child's/children's life easier. My ex was logging in Alaska, would come down from Alaska with $19,000 cash, we never saw one red cent of it, he would drink it up and then head back and start the cycle over again. They need to treat all the "deadbeats" the same, but back in the 80s, they didn't do much. Guess they are more aggressive now. Thanks for the info Beachbum.

I deleted several posts, that only created drama.
We don't need that here.
Would ask that you not quote such stuff, just makes more work.

I'm just really curious to see what's the smallest check a child support agency has ever sent out. Ya know, a why did u bother with the paper an stamp kinda thing. shades

Everybody, I politely ask that we stick to the original premise of the thread. I just thought it would be interestin to see what's the smallest support payment ever sent to someone. I didn't indend for this to turn into a bi@tch session. I could go on an on about the lousy things my son's father has done an continues to do but that's not this threads purpose. I meant for this thread to 'lighten' the issue. flowerforyou

Phhhtp, I seriously wouldn't even bother. Only reason I'll bother with cashin the $8.77 check is to turn around an hand the cash to Tyler for some Lego's, otherwise I'd just let it sit.
