Goatees are rather 80s and out-dated. There are other modern facial hair options though: chops, Comanche, and other funky styles. Anything beardlike or with a mustache is really old school and not in the good way. All that said, do what you want! OWN your style. Don't ask the opinion of others because it's oly their opinion but it's YOUR body. I am one of those girls that really like guys to dress and style with whatever the modern vibe is -- mostly rocker, couture but anything in LA and San Diego! To be honest though the current dress fad (which I dress) is "street" from clothing lines like The Hundreds, Crooks and Castles, and such. Note I said street not thug dumbass. ummmmm I don't even know what that means crap I feel old now Well if you check out "The Hundreds" catalogue its mostly jeans, sneakers, hoodies, t-shirts and such in more colors than just black, grey and white. With some pretty fun designs on them too. Also add in the tattoos, and lip rings, smilies, tongue rings and gauged ears. Girls usually wear the same thing but more form fitting and still sport the "emo hair" and black eye liner. That's the biggest style in LA, NYC, and RVA. It's also what gets me to pay attention |

Facial hair isnt my thing. I wouldn't completely base my decision to date someone based on facial hair alone, but I would prefer a clean shaven face. Ditto. |

It's all subjective to style and area. There are many, many style that people embrace. I don't like urban wear but it's just as common as rocker/surfer or preppie (frat boy). Depends on the city; the people. |

My brother sports a goatee once in a while. He looks cool like that. He tries new looks with his facial hair.
