When a man (who frequents a tavern "frequently") tells you that "you don't look like the type of women who goes to bars"???? Maybe he thought you are more of the club kinda woman. You know out on the dance floor shaking your groove thing.....

I hate alcohol so to me I would say "Glad your not the bar girl type" whatever a bar girl looks like (maybe she as an a$$ shape like a bar stool), as long as she doesn't smell of alcohol then I'm happy.

When a man (who frequents a tavern "frequently") tells you that "you don't look like the type of women who goes to bars"???? I would interpret it as a compliment. Although it's coming from someone who frequents taverns frequently, casting some doubt on the worth of the observation....! 
But then I don't drink so there may ba a bias in there somewhere.... |

I think he is implying that you look more conservative then the woman that frequent his bar.. Maybe his attempt of a compliment?
As for why he drew this conclusion,,, maybe he was drunk when he said it?

It means you should be grateful you dont look like a floozy skank, and that you somewhat appear to have some sort of intelligence, and skills.
And that you should take caution, because that may be all hes used to. |

Thank you all for your comments. I don't like alcohol either, hence, my not going to bars. He is at the bar just a little "too often" for my liking. Oh well. Take care and have a great day. Have to get to work.
