A tough but good question .I think maybe it's not that they expect too much but rather the hustle of this world makes reality crush in too soon .So romance ends up lasting a shorter period than some would like !

Yes. They act like everything's gonna end up like "Sleepless in Seattle" or something, when that kind of storybook ending RARELY happens. |

I concur with your thoughts. People are so busy they do not take the time for themselves let alone others. |

I think too many people are just lazy. Romance doesn't take that much effort. It doesn't always have to be that huge and effort or take that much money. A love note, a back rub, remembering a favorite candy bar, a compliment, just saying "Thank You Love".
Too many people think they are entitled to love even when they they make it a one shot effort rather than a continued promise like they vowed. |

If you expect the impossible your sure to be disappointed, but if you just take what comes your way with no expectations then less chance of worries. |

I think the word "expect" is the problem with most relationships today.....love and romance needs time to cultivate and grow. There is a lot to be said about "take the time to smell the roses". So many things in our lives are rushed today, I don't think that love and romance should be one of them though. |

Is feeding Fetishes, to much?
 
I expect to at least,get back what I put into it. If both people are putting in 100%, Romance can be fulfilling, in every way....and last.
