do you continue in the same job if you don't enjoy the work you do? would you quit even if you didn't have another job lined up?

I'm just with this job until I move, then hopefully another job...but best to have this job transfer, just in case...even though I'd rather not continue working with my current job.

I've came close to quitting my job with no back up job. But I'm going to stick to the job until I get into the teaching program and hopefully start teaching next year.

Quitting a job before you have been hired for another is pretty much a guarantee that the next job will pay less, start you with less perks, and more likely to let you go while you are still in hiring probation.

Employeers understand people making volunteer career changes or moving up unless it is less than a year. Then they think you are a flake employee and they won't want you.

If you quit a job when you do not have another job they figure you (1) Quit before you were fired (2) You are a hot head (3) You have some form of non-visable, maybe illegal, means of support and (4) Are basically an idiot in todays economy.

I loved my job. I drove five hours a
a day to it and home and lost it yesterday.

No, I wouldn't quit if I didnt' have something else lined up. I have children and responsibilities.

I like my job for the most part. It's interesting and it pays well. I really like the people I work with and I get to meet a lot of new people. However, there may come a time in the near future when I make a change. I'm thinking of going back to school, but I'm not sure what I want to study and get a degree in. It's just something I've recently started thinking about.

yes, you continue...until you find something better. or, you choose to stay because of the hours, benefits, etcetera.

i have children, two with special needs...so i absolutely must have a job with flexible hours that will work with my doctor appointments. that's more important than me being happy with my position.

don't get me wrong; i'm far from miserable. i just make half of what i used to, heh. i also don't have to work the crazy hours that i put in in the past.

Oh Honey! That BLOWS!!!!! Sorry babydoll......

I dig my job...I will work there until they close the doors or until I become independantly wealthy....which means I will work myself into the grave. Sure, it used to suck but, I do what I can to make it better.

Right now it is risky just quit your job and start looking as the economy is in a bad shape . Lots of people do not like their jobs but they are there for the pay checks .
