With all of the things they do now adays you would think they would come up with a medicine that stops sea sickeness.

There's plenty, probably over a dozen, from pills, liquids, patches, bracelets, over the counter to prescription. Stuff that costs just about $2-$3. And it works.

Well if we still go on the cruise I will make sure to invest in something just in case I am one who will get seasick.

Those ships are generally as stable as being on land. Unless there's a massive storm, you can hardly tell you're on a ship. But, it's always good to bring, just in case.
