Family and Medical Leave Act

Overview

Covered employers must grant an eligible employee up to a total of 12 workweeks of unpaid leave during any 12-month period for one or more of the following reasons:

* for the birth and care of the newborn child of the employee;
* for placement with the employee of a son or daughter for adoption or foster care;
* to care for an immediate family member (spouse, child, or parent) with a serious health condition; or
* to take medical leave when the employee is unable to work because of a serious health condition.

i did apply for fmla but work had me fill out certain dates that cleared out a lot of occurrences.but as i got more sick work told me to fill out another one.doc said he cant fill out an fmla form every time somebody gets sick.

i called to check on my appeal its still gonna be another 8-9 weeks so im not getting any money for unemployment so im ****ed both ways lol.

if you would like to know why i cant get financial aide you can send me a private message im not comfortable saying why in open forum no offense to anybody just embarrassed

I'm still employed but no check since my M/C wreck the first week of July - at least the insurance is covering most of it.

Still, it sucks. Unemployment is not bad in Arkansas. In your field, there are plenty of opportunities. Best of luck.
