Topic: Why of all places is Southern Cali so hard to find a friend? | |
---|---|
I've been on Mingle since Feb. of 2009 and have been looking for just "Friends" I found a couple flings in the process, but honestly just looking for some long term connections and can't even get replies from women what the heck is that all about! Want to hear irony, I recently just for fun changed my city from where I am to of all places BV Hills and guess what happened? And its only been that way since yesteday, lol. How shallow is that??? So co'mon folks give me your best assessment and I've lived in South Cali all my life! Even attended UCSB in the 90's! Ciao.

Hmm, and I though California was an easy place to meet people. I guess it depends on what city you live in that is popular. Wow!

The greater Southern California area is particularly known for being a downright awful place to find dates.
The big reason is that you you have the Hollywood wannabe's who are looking to make some in-roads in the film biz, whether it be as an actor, director, or some other exalted position of insignificant importance. Many of these types of dolts are almost totally shallow as well as completely arrogant and self-absorbed to an extent that they're caught up in their own little worlds. Then you have the proverbial "gold-diggers" who are out there solely to drain your wallet of your earnings. They're often considered to be an offset of the Hollywood wannabe, as they probably came from the same stock. The only difference with them is that they've had a couple of years of outright failure in trying to get their foot in the door, and have resorted to defrauding people out of their money. Of course, you can't discount the "pretty people", who are probably the most shallow and self-absorbed of the bunch. Unless you look like Matt Damon and have an eight-figure income, chances are that you won't get much of anywhere with those people... not that you'd want to anyway. And since there are so many "pretty" types out there, it makes dating that much more difficult as the more-normal ones will be left out in the cold. |

Maybe it's just the fling ratio that will go up with the BV Hills crowd. Good luck with that.
