The color soothes the savage nature of the hot, redheaded woman! Were it a RED bike, the general public in rush hour traffic would be in great danger! Could be some truth in it. I dont know about in the US, but ginger people take A LOT of stick for it here in the UK. I imagine there is some kind of psychological effect from it.
