The first episode of Octo Mom's new TV show was on this week. I missed the show but there is alot of reporting about the TV show on the news. All the reporting has been negative yet she is still hounded by the media on a constant basis.
In all reality there is no law that states you cannot have 14 children. I doubt if there will ever be one.
The problem I see is that she had the last 8 children with hope of gaining fame and fortune. Apparently she is receiving what she wished for and has exclusive contracts with media companies.
I do think there should be a law that you cannot have a large number of children to gain personal fame and fortune by parading the children in the media. Hmmm....do not think that law will happen either.
What are your thoughts about Octo Mom?

the thing i don't understand is that family here in AR has 18 kids now and no one is saying anything about them

The thing is that Octo Mom had 8 children at the same time and that is why she became famous. If you have one at a time then it is ok apparently. She had the 8 at a time with hopes of TV contracts etc

if she did it for fame than i can see the issue.


the media is just buying into it though

The comedians are having a field day with some pretty harsh jokes and sketches about Octo Mom. The whole thing is wild.

i forgot to watch it, it was on last night, huh??? that is some story, thats all i can say....if she did it FOR fame, oh my!!!

Nurses at her home were taking care of the 8 infants 24/7. One nurse reported Octomon to CPS 3 times. Apparently Octomom does not personally care for the infants. The nurse states they would not see her for days. She was someplace else in the house or going on shopping spree's. The nurse also stated that Octomom suddenly became very attentive when the camera's were on.

I have no interest in watching the show.. and I agree it is terribly irresponsible to have that many children, especially being a single person.
I also feel like..hey, everybody else has a reality show..if she can make money to take care of all those kids then more power to her..they still need to eat, be clothed, and that is a hell of a lot of diapers.
It is not their fault their mother is so foolish, and she is getting her consequence now for her choice.. that many kids is punishment in itself.

I feel sorry for all the children

its funny everyone b1tchs when people do things to get attention but yet everyone gives that person the attention they are looking for hey the people across the street have 10 kids in a 4 bedroom house and there kids just run the streets is everyone going to give them more attention she had one baby at a time and could of stopped at any time that lady wanted 1 more and did not feel it was right for her to pick and chose who lived and who did not her doctor should not have did what he did but yet it all goes back on her.
