Lost in thoughts of you

You lay beside me
Always
to my left
In slumber

I listen to your breathing
Soft but labored
Calling my name
Like a little boy

I rub your back
Calming your puppy dreams
And you grab me
Pulling me close as you open your sleepy eyes


You are so beautiful
You say
As you lull me into my own personal dreams
Your skin feels so warm against mine

We sleep again in deep RPM
Our eyelids fluttering in unison
As if having the same dream

We are lost together under the sheets
In our own kind of love
And we lock the door
For no one to enter
