Ok so a while back .. when the book first came out, my pal billy suggested that i needed to read this. I never got around to it.

So finally the movie is coming out which means the book is all over the place now. I picked up a copy, and LOW AND BEHOLD! the author has re-written the book!

okay...

so the book was funny. kinda. its a cute story about graduation night for one parriah nerd high school student and his speech that changed everything.

But HE RE-WROTE IT!!!

i feel kinda... i dunno.

cheated.

I honestly don't even want to see the movie now because the book's forward warns of the butchering to make the film pg-13 and explains how he made the book better.

why do writers do this the moment their crap is turned into a movie!?

I have no idea!

I always thought the original idea was better...I would not dare re-write a story of mine

neither would i! it really weirded me out that this guy did this ... i don't know if he did it for the benefit of the movie but i would have been happier reading the original.

so uh... i didnt read it and i dont think i will see the movie either.
