I always wanted to go to australia that was the plumb that they always dangled under our nose in the Navy "This year we're gonna stop in australia" "oh sorry boys, Iraq/Noth Korea/Libya is acting up we've been diverted" happened ever single year In some ways it's a real biotch that we are so far away, and in another, it's pretty wonderful. Being isolated like we are, we have had to just get on with it. I try to get my head around how there are 300 million people in the U.S> and there is only 30 million here...and yet our country's sizes are comparable... I was thinking yesterday how strange it would be for someone whose lived in a highly populated city like London, to go way out west to some of the properties, that have 12 people on a couple of million hectares. |

I dont like being isolated for long, i find the mayhem of London to be quite comforting. When i was first in America even, i found it quite hard as i dont drive, but then i got to DC, and it felt like home. DC and London are similar in a lot of ways. |
