Do men really expect a response to no pic, no interests, a few stats, and the classic three word email "how are you"  i used to reply to those when i first joined these so-called dating sites. i figured it was just people who really lacked in social skills and were at least trying to have conversation. since then, i've found that most of them want one specific response from you and, if they don't get it, turn to insults and cruelty, so i stopped replying to almost all random email. |

I have no expectations from my profile they don't care what's on it, once i changed my age to 100, all my details to no answer, and my ethnicity to other, my pic to some weird av, and you know what? pervs still viewed.

I found that lots of pics, lots of interests, all kinds of stats, and the ability to write a humorous and interesting e-mail won't make a bit of difference -- they're not going to reply regardless. So why put out a lot of effort? I hear ya Lex  Thing is...when a guy takes the time to create an interesting profile, I figure the guy might actually like himself and his life and thats what I'm looking for. And if he's over his ex and he likes to fish...well then he might just be a keeper

But I learned one thing very quickly -- no matter how well I write (and just let me add, for the 5793rd time, that I had two books published last year, and there is a third almost ready for release!), no matter how good, how funny, how relevant, how anything, an e-mail is, I will NEVER get a reply. So I just don't send first e-mails out anymore. No point, really. |

Thats good to know. I've responded for the same reason. Figured the guy was at least trying and what the heck. I haven't had the insults and cruelty but I do notice that the emails go from three words to two to one word to an emoticon and then just nudges every day from then on. I guess they just run out of steam..
