Topic: Ten spheres on the tree of life | |
---|---|
In the Enoch legend, he speaks of nine arches, arks, circles or spheres. The Greek legend suggests that the soul comes from and returns to the stars (milky way) via seven planetary spheres (includes the sun and the moon). Adding the stars at the top, and earth at the bottom of this scheme we arrive at the same image as Enoch.
Remember that was a cube. Enoch had a cube inscribed with the true name of God, that was buried in the ninth or lowest arch, sphere, the earth. This symbolizes the nine month human gestation nperiod of course. As Enoch lives 365 years and is transposed to Heaven where he becomes Metatron, Enoch's Cube is Metatron's Cube. (more on that later). But the tree that we use today has ten spheres not nine. Each sphere is associated with a number, a planet and a magic square. On the 10 sphere tree, Saturn is at 3 and the earth is at 10. I contend that the signs for the planets are related to the number of that sphere. The earth sign is a circle with crossing lines. Mercury contains most of the 8 lines, as Jupiter contains the 4 lines. The backbone of the 9 is the moon sign, and the circle from the six is the sun sign. The square of Saturn is 3x3 containing the first nine numbers. The rows columns and diagonals all add to 15, and the square totals to 45. Saturn's day was the first Hebrew day of the week. Consider Noah's Ark. It was said to measure 300x50x30. Multiplying we see 3x3 = 9, 3x5 = 15 and 3x3x5 = 45. You note that the water prevailed 15 cubits for 150 days. That Noah was 600 years old, and had seven passengers with him. The Ark of the Covenant was 2.5 x 1.5 x 1.5 or 5x3x3. The altar in front of the Tabernacle was 5x5x3. Note especially how the letter 'yod' looks like the number three and the sign for Saturn. Don't get me started.... bigbytyes |

"Do you know about Sophia and the Demiurge?"
Yes. I am 57 years old and I have studied Philosophy, Psychology and Sociology at the graduate level. Have you looked at my 200 MB of material that I have linked too? You may get any idea of the scope of my knowledge in this area. bigbytes |

I use the Qabalah for introspection. I've created my own version of it for several reasons. I too have looked into these things and what I've found is that there exist many tales from many different cultures, yet they all contain the same underlying threads.
I'm personally convinced that these were stories and systems created by very wise men for the purpose of introspection. Although, it may well be that they also saw them as being divine, or even as divinely inspired knowledge. None the less the 'secrets' are pretty clear. All of these systems are nothing more than an organized way of learning to get the most out of life and our powers as humans. Although, I'm not sure if I should say "Nothing More", because that might come off as though I am trivializing them when in fact I'm not. I think they do indeed represent the epitome of human knowledge. However, having said this, I think they have also often been 'tainted' by the ego of man. It is also my own view that the Mediterranean area tainted them the most. Both by adding drama, and by using them as a means of establishing authority. In any case, I've created my own tree below. This is actually a collection of many different ideas. So all of these ideas are related to the Qabalah via various cultures, folklore or mythology. What I've done is try to root out the drama, negativity, and overly authoratative views, and only incorporate the purist sense of innocence and love. The reason being that this is "My Qabalah". It's intended for my introspection only. I feel that this is the original intent of the Qabalah in general. I also use the Celtic spelling because I tend to incorporate their folklore more often than not. Only because they seemed to have a more positive view of things. At least, IMHO. Below is my own crude schematic of my tree of life. I continue to improve on this image and hope to paint up as an actual tree someday with the limbs and nodes gracefully representing the pathways and circles. I also have a second schematic that I use. It's just this same image reflected on itself as if standing in a pool of water. It's reflected around the Body Temple. The bottom tree then represents the roots of the Qabalah. I already meditate, and have shamanic journeys, in this tree even though I haven't actually painted the final images I want in the physical world. At least they are vivid in my mind. By the way, the tenth sphere is the Body Temple. This may be the sphere that was missing from the earlier versions you're referring to? |

Are their 10 or 12?
You have a 2 dimensional cross section of a multi dimensional reality. If you add point 'above' the plane of harmony and one 'below' you open levels in a sphere about you. Linking them all would be a monumental task. But first you would have to balance the plane of harmony. Without out that center balance you would have no control. |

There are 11 spheres with Daath. That is true, but there is a twelveth sphere, Ogine. Ogine, interestingly, is only the seventh Darkness (of a total 27 known ones, which is 3^3, and of a total 9 (#*3) knowable ones) and the -- I know it sounds far fetched, but it's true -- fifth square. |

I like the paths better life is a journey ah but if you could balance the center of self based on a structure that is greater then the physical... One could take paths beyond this veil of reality ... |

The Tree of Life is Christ That is a way of think about His Holiness. However I believe he is a Most Great Branch... But not the whole tree. Please excuse my opinion... If it has offended thee. |
