whatever you believe in or don't.
I find that this is a place to teach, learn and tolerate. There are so many here that I respect and look to read. I can only think off the top of my head of those that touch me: AB, Abra, Spider, Red, Sheila, many others. I just want you all to know that you are appreciated and I learn from all of you. Kat |

I can not speak for the others you mention but I have learned a great
deal from you Kat. thank you. |

Thank you Kat.
I know there are many here who will be happy to hear that I'm leaving. It's never been my desire to change anyone's mind, but at the same time it's no fun being on a forum that is so totally defiant against anything that doesn’t support Christianity. I’m really not interested in discussion religions issues anyway because I’m completely at peace spiritually. The only reason I even posted to the religious forums in the first place was because of the lack of more interesting forums. As far as a dating site, I haven’t bumped into any potential mates in over two years away. It really cracks me up when people come on and start complaining about not being able to meet someone within a week or two. They have no IDEA! I’ve also seen quite a few people who have been on the forums for longer than me and they are also still single. So as a dating media, these Internet forums just don’t seem to be panning out very well. I really didn’t come to these forums to get into defensive arguments about religions views. I have no need to defend my views, and neither do I really wish to hear other people defending theirs. I thought the idea was to share views, but it seems that if a person’s view doesn’t coincide with Christianity then it’s going to be met with hostility no matter what. In any case, I’ve had enough of this. I actually quit the other site and then Nene sent me an email with a link to this place. Where the hell is she anyway? I need to give that woman a SPANKING! (ha ha) So anyway, best wishes to all of you, and may god bless you all. James |

Awwww thank you AB.
If I have taught even a little thing; then I have done well. Kat |

interesting..

But James...you are a good man and have many thought out posts. I can
only ask you not to leave because of discussions. I hope that I have not been one that has upset you. You have a spiritual side and I respect that. I will miss you terribly if you leave. But, I do understand if it is what it has to be. I thank you Abra for being my friend and putting up with me. Kat |

Isn't it funny how its always the Christians who seem to be hostile. I
wish you all the best and hope you continue learning for a long time. |

What was that?? Who's being hostile?? Not me, I hope you are not
refering to me. You would be so mistaken. I happen to think a lot of Abra. Please clarify. Kat |

Thank you for the clarity.
Now, this post was to appreciate those that help us to reach new heights in our lives. Teaching us new and improved ways, or even just to help those that do not understand...understand a little more. There are so many that I have gratitude to. Kat |

Start misinterpreting the Koran in a mostly Muslim forum and tell me
what reaction you get. If I remember right, a couple dozen people were killed and hundreds of cars and buildings were burned down when there was a false claim that a Koran had been flushed down a toilet (I guess foreign Muslims have never experianced the wonders of the ultra low flush toilets). My problem isn't with non-Christians offering their views, my problem is with them using the Bible to commit blaspheme. Abra and AdventureBegins seem to believe that there is nothing sacred or holy about the Bible, but there is a reason we call it the "Holy Bible" and not the "Bland Bible". |

And I meant that post to religious people, Christians, Bible thumpers,
spiritual believers Athiests. Agnostics and any others I may have missed. All have something to give. Kat |

Kat, this post of mine was in another thread...
"I know a beautiful woman, that I met on a similar site, I call her friend. She has her faith, her's strong in Jesus Christ, a good and gentle christian woman, she respects that we don't share the same beliefs, and allows me to follow my path. She deserves my respect for her humaness, her gentle faith, and her 'doing good', everywhere she goes. Never has she asked me to follow her faith, look at it, or anything else, she says her piece, and I say mine, and at times, I may get a mention in her prayers. Her faith is private, but her heart, her humanity is open." I was talking about you. |

Spider; you are one that I like to read. I purposefully look you up.
Thank you for being here. Kat |

OMG Jess!!! That was beautiful. You have made me cry. Tears of joy
because of words of love from a friend. I love you Lee, I really, really truly have the utmost respect for you. I'm going to copy that. I will keep it near me all the time. Thank you for caring for me. What a beautiful day this has become. Kat |

“My problem isn't with non-Christians offering their views, my problem is with them using the Bible to commit blaspheme.” This is the kind of misunderstanding that I’m talking about. While the Bible may be a ‘Holy Book’ to Christians, in my view it is just another book. There is nothing blasphemed about that. I’m still a human being living on planet Earth where that book was written and I should have just as much right as any one to comment on it as a piece of literature as I view it. It shouldn’t be considered taboo or blasphemous for non-Christians to read the Bible and to offer their view of what they feel from reading these stories. Especially when they are clearly stating that they are a non-Christian and they are not claiming to be preaching the Bible. The only way it could be considered blasphemous would be if the person who was interpreting it was claiming to speak for God. Neither AB nor myself have ever claimed to speak for god, or to be ‘preachers’ of the gospel. We simply share our views. That is not blaspheme Spider. All you need to so is say that you disagree with our views. It’s not a problem. But you shouldn’t tell us that we are ‘wrong’ because we can’t be ‘wrong’. We’re just voicing our views. Views are personal interpretations. Who are you to tell us that our personal interpretations are ‘wrong’? Seems to me that if you claim to have the only correct interpretation of God then you would be the one committing blaspheme. It wouldn’t matter whether you’re a Christian or not. Just because a person is a Christian doesn’t mean that they speak for God. |

OOOHHH ABRA - WHAT YOU SAID - Aha, My mom told me that.......
Sorry, but reading the post between Abra and Spider made me think of the kids in a school yard. Remember the first time you ever heard a kid, around your age yell a 'bad word' and everyone drew in a breath, waiting for that heavy hand of punishment to fall? We all, so need to get over that. Abra, maybe you could keep your profile and sneed a peed once in a while. Grace us with your meanderings or poetry. It's obvious that you are more than the words you post, to many here, you are a whole person, a friend. |
